3rd Rock from the Sun is an american comedy series that ran from 1996 to 2001. The story revolves around a group of gentle-hearted aliens sent to earth (3rd Rock from the Sun) on a mission to study everything about its human civilization. Later Dick Solomon (John Lithgow), the leader of the group, takes a jop as a professor at a State University; Tomy (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), their information officer, was forced to enroll in school after being given a body of a teenager; while Sally (Kirsten Johnson) and Harry (French Stewart), their security and communications officer, spend their time at home and doing several odd-jobs.

Boy Meets World was an American situation comedy that revolves around the life of Cory Mathews, who grows up from a Junior High School boy to a married man. Each episode in Boy Meets World sets Cory up with a problem, usually it is his childhood sweetheart, Topanga, his best friend, Shawn, his parents or his teachers who helps him overcome this problem. In the later part of the series, their college years, the show started dealing with more mature issues like sex, jealousy, rebellion, etc. The show was aired for seven seasons on ABC from 1993 to 2000 and is currently in Disney Channel's lineup.

My So-Called Life premiered on August 25, 1994 on ABC. The show tackled many issues that were seldom mentioned in series in the mid-nineties, like drug abuse, homosexuality, alcoholism, drug abuse, etc. The story basically revolves around the life Angela Chase, played by Claire Danes, and the trials and difficulties she's faced with as a teenager. Angela is a 15-year old high school sophomore who recently just abandoned her longtime friend Sharon for party girl Rayanne and gay Rickie. The show is most known for its realistic and non-sensationalistic approach on issues very much unlike most series at that time, which showcased conflict resolutions before every episode ends.
