The Muppet Show was a television program that featured a cast of Muppets produced by Jim Henson and his team from 1976 to 1981. The show star Kermit the Frog where he keeps control of the different Muppet characters, as well as keep the celebrity guest stars happy and secure. The television show depicted a music hall style song and dance variety show, as well as the backstage antics involving the Muppets themselves. In just a short time, the show became one of the sought after productions to appear in. The shows famous guests included stars like Christofer Reeve, Diana Ross, John Cleese, Julie Andrews, Steve Martin and many more. The Muppet Show premiered in 1976 (5 years and 120 episodes) and went off the air in 1981.
